Festivals in India are a time of renewal — a moment to refresh your home, welcome guests with warmth, and celebrate with colour and joy. From Diwali and Navratri to Onam, Pongal, Eid, and Christmas, every festive season brings with it the desire to make your home feel special. While most people think of curtains, cushion covers, and wall colours when refreshing their home décor, one of the most impactful — and most overlooked — elements is the floor mat.
At OnlyMat, we’ve been helping Indian households elevate their home décor with premium floor mats for over a decade. Here’s how to use the right mat in every room of your home this festive season.
1. The Entrance — Your Home’s First Festive Statement
During festivals, your entrance is the first thing guests see — and it sets the tone for everything inside. Complement your Rangoli, diyas, and “Shubh Laabh” thorans with a beautiful, welcoming doormat that reflects the festive spirit. A bold printed coir mat or a vibrant patterned design instantly elevates your entrance and signals warmth and celebration.
- 👉 OnlyMat Greek Pattern Printed Natural Coir Doormat — Our bestselling entrance mat. A bold, timeless pattern on natural coir — elegant and highly effective at keeping festive entrances clean.
- 👉 OnlyMat Vibrant Tiled Coir Doormat — A richly coloured tiled design that adds a festive, eye-catching accent to any entrance. Perfect for Diwali and Navratri.
For the staircase leading to your entrance, our polypropylene stair mats add a neat, coordinated look and improve safety during busy festive gatherings.
2. The Living Room — Add Grandeur with Jute Rugs
The living room is where your guests spend most of their time during festive visits — and a beautiful jute rug can transform the entire feel of the space. Natural jute rugs add warmth, texture, and an earthy elegance that complements both traditional and contemporary Indian interiors. Choose a rug that coordinates with your sofa, cushions, and curtains for a cohesive, curated look.
- 👉 OnlyMat Non-Slip Heritage Multifunctional Jute Rug Mat — A versatile heritage-inspired jute rug with non-slip backing. Adds warmth and character to any living room or sitting area.

3. The Kitchen — Keep It Clean & Safe During Festive Cooking
Festive cooking means long hours in the kitchen — and with that comes grease, spills, and wet floors. A quality anti-fatigue rubber mat in front of the cooking station reduces leg and back fatigue during extended cooking sessions, while an anti-slip mat near the sink keeps the wash area dry and safe. These are practical gifts that any homemaker will genuinely appreciate.
- 👉 OnlyMat Heavy-Duty Anti-Fatigue Bubble Rubber Mat — Our bestselling kitchen mat. The bubble surface provides superior cushioning and grip — ideal for long hours of festive cooking. Easy to clean and highly durable.

4. The Bathroom — Keep Guests Safe & Comfortable
When your home is full of guests during festive gatherings, the bathroom sees heavy use — and wet floors become a genuine safety hazard. A premium quick-dry bath mat at the bathroom entrance keeps the floor dry, prevents slipping, and adds a neat, finished look to your bathroom décor. Our PP bath mats are anti-slip, quick-drying, and far more durable than traditional cotton dhurries.
- 👉 OnlyMat Wave Design Soft QuickDry PP Bath Mat — Our most popular bath mat. Soft, quick-drying, anti-slip, and available in a stylish wave design that elevates any bathroom.

5. The Guest Room — A Personal, Welcoming Touch
Make your guests feel truly special with a thoughtfully chosen mat in the guest room. A colourful coir mat or a personalized doormat with a warm greeting adds a personal, welcoming touch that guests will notice and appreciate. For a truly unique gift or home addition, our personalized coir doormats can be customized with names, initials, or a festive message — online ordering available directly on our website.
